Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of Language and Literature of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences held a conference on "Turkic Linguistics of the XXI century: lexicology and lexicography", September 10-11 in Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan).

In an opening ceremony of the conference, president of the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences, academic Myazkum Salahov stated that, the event is of great importance in terms of glancing the history of multi aged scientific-cultural ties of Turkic nations.

Director of the Institute of Linguistics, academic Mohsun Naghisoylu attended the international conference as well. He spoke on common values of Turkic nations and stressed out to improve these ties.

Azerbaijani scientist also chaired the conference as head of Section IV.

Reporting with a lecture titled "A glance to medieval history of Azerbaijan lexicography", M. Naghisoylu dealt with scientific-practical significance of the history of Azerbaijan lexicography.
