Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

A group of employees of Turkey National Botanical Garden of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Turkey Muharram Cihan, Dc.Ozlem Mavi Idman and Merve Yilmaz visited ANAS Institute of Botany.

During the meeting with guests, Director of the Institute of Botany, academician Valida Alizade and Director of the Central Botanical Garden, Doctor of Biological Sciences Vahid Farzaliev discussed bilateral prospects for cooperation.

V.Alizade informed on research areas, international relations, joint projects and achievements of the Institute of Botany.

Guests got acquainted with the Museum of Botany, the Herbarium Fund and the laboratories of the institute. They were informed of the efforts to integrate herbarium specimens of local and foreign flora stored in the Herbarium Fund into the European Database and World Flora.

Turkish noted that, there is much scope for the exchange of personnel and experience, the organization of joint projects and expeditions, the exchange of seeds and herbar materials.
