Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The internship organized for the students of the Baku branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) at the Institute of Information Technology under the Ministry of Science and Education concluded.

For this purpose, a meeting was held at the institute with the students of the Baku branch of MSU.

In his speech, Vice-President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and director general of the Institute of Information Technology, academician Rasim Aliquliyev, spoke about the cooperation between the institution he leads and the Baku branch of MSU, which has been ongoing since the early years of the university.

Speaking about the importance of organizing effective cooperation with higher education institutions of the country, academician Rasim Aliquliyev emphasized that one of the main tasks of the institute is to train highly qualified personnel in the field of information technology. He also expressed the institute's interest in supporting various higher education institutions of the country in this direction. 

The scholar noted that the staff of the Institute of Information Technology actively participates in this process and stated that scientists and specialists working at the institute teach various subjects related to current issues in information technology at the Baku branch of MSU. Academician Rasim Aliquliyev stated that within the framework of the cooperation between the two institutions, students of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics completed scientific-research internships at the Institute of Information Technology.

The director general mentioned that the significant efforts made to involve the students in science at the institute and also spoke about the possibility of students who intern at the institute being involved in various local and international grant projects intended for young researchers in the future. Academician Rasim Aliquliyev emphasized that the initiatives implemented within the framework of cooperation with the Baku branch of MSU are a significant example of the integration of science and education.

Subsequently, the internship supervisors appointed for the students gave information about the work and research carried out by each student during their internship and noted the students' productive performance during this period.

At the end, the students of the Baku branch of MSU expressed their gratitude to the staff of the Institute of Information Technology and their internship supervisors for the opportunities, knowledge, and valuable experience provided to them.
