Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

French-Azerbaijan University hosted the presentation of book “Years and Trace of My Life” in French by SOCAR First Vice-president academician Khoshbakht Yusifzadeh on September 17. 

At the presentation ceremony, Director of Total Company in Azerbaijan, Denis Lemarshal, speaking on the book, emphasized that, the publication reflects the last 50 years of the Azerbaijan modern oil industry, the ancient oil field.

Then, rector of Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry, Professor Mustafa Babanli noted that, the book reflects the various stages of the history of Azerbaijan, starting from the 30s of the last century. The rector added that, the episodes in the publication are a prime example for the younger generation. Along with this, the rector M.Babanly talked on the attention by academician K.Yusifzade to students, especially students of Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry and noted that at the university was established a scholarship after academician.

Tofig Gahramanov, SOCAR Vice President for Strategic Development, noted that the gives a detailed meaning to great work of national leader Heydar Aliyev in developing the country's oil industry in the 70s of the last century, especially in developing offshore fields.

In his speech, President of ANAS, academician Akif Alizadeh emphasized that, a prominent oil scientist devoted his life and scientific activity to the discovery and development of oil and gas condensate fields in the country, in particular in the Caspian Sea. He noted that, the book described the implementation of the oil strategy of the national leader Heydar Aliyev, Ilham Aliyev as the first vice president of the State Oil Company.

SOCAR first Vice-president Adviser Alakpar Abbasov and others talked about the life and activity of the famous Azerbaijani geological engineer, academician Khoshbakht Yusifzade, noted that the book was published at highest quality level printing.

In conclusion, the author Khoshbakht Yusifzade thanked the organizers of the event.

It should be noted that, the book by Khoshbekht Yusifzadeh "Years and Trace of My Life" is also published in Azerbaijani, Russian and Vietnamese.
