Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

ANAS Nakhchivan Division held a monthly event dedicated to the results of nine months of scientific and scientific-organizational activities for the 2019.

Chairman of the Division, academician Ismail Hajiyev spoke about research activities at the scientific institutions and organizational. He noted that, a number of successes have been achieved in scientific institutions.

Further, head of the Scientific and Organizational Department, Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural Sciences Orkhan Bagirov announced the results of scientific research for the specified period. He noted that, the 602 scientific papers were published for 2019, including 17 monographs, 8 books, 2 study guides, 2 booklets, a map, 417 scientific articles, 156 conference materials and one dissertation. 2 books, 65 scientific articles, 40 conference proceedings were published abroad. 22 articles were published in impact journals, including 6 articles in journals on the list of Thomson Reuters.

According to the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov on “Study of heritage of the outstanding scientist Nemathulla Nakhchivani” dated October 29, 2018, the conference “Outstanding Azerbaijani thinker: Nematullah Nakhchivani” was organized.

It was noted that, during this period a close cooperation with scientists and researchers from scientific and educational institutions of Turkey, Iran, Russia, Georgia, the United States and France was established. The Nakhchivan Division and the Igdir University of Turkey signed a memorandum of cooperation. At the same time, 55 employees delivered papers at 23 international symposia, conferences and events in the country and abroad.

He was also awarded the “100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR)” and “100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey” Medals. He was elected as a member of the Organizing Committee, established in connection with the II Baku Summit of Leaders of World Religions and the Board of Trustees of the Fund for Scientific Development under the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. O.Bagirov also spoke on the work to strengthen the material and technical base of the organization.
