Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Presentation of Azerbaijani publications of the International Turkic Academy was held at the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi of ANAS.

At the event, vice-president of ANAS director of the Institute of Literature academician Isa Habibbayli noted that friendly and brotherly relations between the Turkic states are developing successfully. He said the publication of Azerbaijani publications by the International Turkic Academy is a valuable contribution to the world of science.

“Azerbaijan has taken important steps towards integration into the Turkic world. Independent Azerbaijan is one of the leading countries of the Turkic world and is in the same position with it. This is a great way opened by our great leader Heydar Aliyev, supported and fought by President Ilham Aliyev. The economic, cultural, scientific, and literary unity of the Turkic states contributes significantly to the development of each of these countries”, said academician Isa Habibbayli.

Then, the permanent secretary of the International Turkic Academy Askhat Kesikbayev spoke about the organization he represented. He said the academy is an organization of the Cooperation Council of Turkic Speaking States. The agreement on its establishment was signed on August 22-23, 2012 at the 2nd Summit of the Turkic Council in Bishkek and the organization was granted international status.

Kesikbayev noted that the organization is working to coordinate and promote the study of Turkish language, literature, culture and ethnography. Other goals of the Academy are to study the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Turkic peoples, to increase their contribution to the development of world civilization, to inform the world community about the achievements of the Turkic peoples.

The Secretary stressed the role of both Azerbaijan and ANAS in the Turkic world and shared his views on the books presented.

Later on, Dr. History Eynulla Madatli delivered a lecture on his book "A person guiding to his nation”, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev, Dr. Philology Farida Azizova "Men jahana sigmazam” peom book of Nasimi, Dr. Philology Alizade Asgarli “Anthology of Azerbaijan literature”, Dr. Philology Almaz Ulvi on “Poems of Maghjan Jumabayev".
