Presidium of ANAS Nakhchivan Division held election for vacant positions of head of the Department, the leading researcher, senior researcher and head of Laboratories at the scientific research institutions of the Division.

At the meeting, the chairman of the Division, academician Ismayil Hajiyev noted that, 12 people had addressed for vacant positions of the leading and senior researcher positions in the newspaper "Eastern Gate" published on September 10, 2019.

Then, Accounts Committee was established to hold the elections. The chairman of the commission was head of the Department of Ancient Archeology of the Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, correspondent member of ANAS Vali Bakhshaliyev and corresponding members of ANAS Abulfaz Guliyev and Tofig Aliyev.

According to the results of the secret ballot PhD in History, Associate Professor, Asaf Orujov elected as a head of the Department of Ethnography of ANAS Nakhchivan Division, Institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology, PhD in History, Associate Professor Togrul Khalilov as a head of the Department of Antique and Medieval Archeology, PhD in History, Associate Professor Sara Hajiyeva-head of the Research Group "Carpet", PhD in Agrarian Sciences, Associate Professor Parviz Fatullaev-head of the Laboratory on Cereals and Grains, Bean Seeds and Crops of the Institute of Bioresources, Ph.D in Chemistry, Associate Professor Gunel Mammadova-head of the laboratory of Sorption Processes of the Institute of Natural Resources, Gorkhmaz Huseynov-head of the Laboratory of Chemistry and Technology of Mineral Raw Materials and 5 people as a leading and senior researchers.

Elected members were approved by a decree of the Presidium.
