Rector of Baku State University (BSU), PhD in Physics-math Elchin Babayev, President of Israel “Innovation Technologies Group” LLC (ITG) Michael Frenkel and representative of the very company Mark Israel, visited the Institute of Physics of ANAS.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the possibilities of trilateral cooperation.

Rector of BSU E.Babayev informed the guests about the scientific activity of the director of the Institute of Physics academician Nazim Mammadov and highlighted him as one of the leading scientists in the realm of physics. He noted that academician N. Mammadov has been engaged in scientific activity in Japan for many years, and contributed to the creation of the Innovation Sector of the Institute of Physics, in particular, the logistics base.

E. Babayev also spoke about the possibilities of cooperation with the ITG, exchange of staff, implementation of joint internship programs.

N. Mammadov spoke about the research carried out at the Institute of Physics, the use of solar elements and methods of solar energy, and said that such areas as optics and ellipsometry are highly developed.

Then M. Frenkel spoke about the possibility of cooperation in applied physics, based on the experience of the Institute of Physics in the field of theoretical physics. He expressed confidence that high results will be achieved in the area of cooperation.

Later on, guests got acquainted with the logistical base created in the Innovation Sector of the enterprise.

The meeting was also attended by Zohrab Aghamaliyev, deputy director of the Nano Studies Center of BSU, deputy director of science at the Institute of Physics academician Javad Abdinov and deputy director for Innovation and Transfer, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Ayaz Bayramov.
