Next meeting of the Presidium of ANAS was held

On December 10, the next meeting of the Presidium of ANAS was held.

Opening the event, President of ANAS, academician Ramiz Mehdiyev presented the agenda, noting that a number of scientific and organizational issues will be discussed at the meeting.

Then, academician-secretary, corresponding member of ANAS Aminagha Sadigov noted the creation of the Commission by the Presidential Order of the ANAS dated November 21, 2019 to improve the structure and management system of the Presidium, as well as submission of the proposals to the academician Ramiz Mehdiyev. He informed the participants about the decisions of the Presidium on the activities of the Center for Strategic Scientific Researches.

Referring to the partial change in the structure of the Institute of Literature named after Nizami Ganjavi, academician-secretary of ANAS said that scientific-theoretical revision of the way of development of Azerbaijani literature influenced the activities of the Department of Ancient Literature of Azerbaijan and made it necessary to make changes on its name.

Later the meeting discussed issues of partial change in the structure of the Institute of Folklore and Oriental Studies of ANAS, and appropriate decisions were made to establish new departments in these institutions.

Then, it was decided to award scientists with honorary decrees of ANAS in connection with the 90th anniversary of corresponding members of ANAS Masuma Malikova, 70th anniversary of Hajifakhraddin Safarli, and 70th anniversary of Alishir Musayev.

The meeting also revised the issue of the title "Professor of ANAS" and made a relevant decision.

In addition, event discussed the structure and staff schedule of the High Technology Park LLC of ANAS.
