Republican scientific conference on “National identity and spiritual wealth in literature and art”

On December 20, Republican Scientific Conference on "National Identity and Spiritual Wealth in Literature and Art" was held at the ANAS Main Building.

The conference was held within the framework of ANAS scientific research program "The role of literature and art in ideological-aesthetic education: national identity and spiritual enrichment".

Opening the event, director of the Institute of Folklore, academician Mukhtar Imanov spoke about the research carried out at the Institute and its scientific-practical significance.

Then Kamran Aliyev, head of the Institute of Folklore and Written Literature Department, corresponding member of ANAS delivered a lecture on "Azerbaijani Oguzname" and the system of moral values. The scientist spoke about our moral values reflected in the epic tradition of Azerbaijan, their role in the ideological and aesthetic education of youth.

The head department of Aesthetics of the Institute of Philosophy, Doctor of Philosophy Adil Asadov, presented a lecture on the topic "Visual Arts as a Physical Indicator of Spiritual Wealth”, describing the connection between fine art and artistic expression, spoke about the appearance of visual art as an illustration of artistic expression, and that it is a peculiar form of expression of a person’s moral criteria.

The event also featured presentations on “Ethics and Morality in Fiction", “Expression of the Problem of National Identity in Poetry with the Ideals of Patriotism and National Unity” and “Artistic Trends and Styles as Manifestations of the National Identity of the Azerbaijan Theater”.
