ANAS Institute of Literature named after Nizami held presentation of “Shah Ismayil Khatayi: Historical diplomatic documents bulk” book.

Opening the event vice-president director of the institute acad. Isa Habibbayli made speech on importance of the book. Scientific editor of the book is the head of Presidential Administration acad. Ramiz Mehdiyev: “This valuable bulk commences with “Shah Ismayil Khatayi’s historical heritage in the light of historical documents” penned by Ramiz Mehdiyev”.

Acad. Isa Habibbayli said that through the book, materials collected from various libraries, manuscript funds of Iran, Turkey - diplomatic letters, rulings and orders are submitted to the public for the first time in our native language. In general, the book includes 53 historical and diplomatic documents. 3 of them are rulings, 1 fatwa, and 49 letters with different content.

Shah Ismail Khatai was one of prominent figures in history and statehood of Azerbaijan, struggled for territorial integrity of native land. At the end of his speech Isa Habibayli noted that, this unique book will solve portion of serious problems in the history about Shah Ismail for many years.

Later on, acad. Vasim Mammadaliyev’s lecture on “Historical diplomacy and modernity” was attended.

Responsible associate of Presidential Administration Eldar Amirov, director of theInstitute of Oriental Studies Dr. philology Govhar Bakhshaliyeva, deputy director of theInstitute of Manuscripts Dr. philology Pasha Karimov, chief department of the Institute of Philosophy and Law prof. Hasan Alibeyli, well-known playwright-publicist Orkhan Arashighly appreciated scientific significance of new edition.
