Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of Economics of ANAS held a scientific session on the 90th anniversary of the birth of the prominent economist Professor Madat Allahverdiyev.

Opening the event, director of the Institute Professor Nazim Muzaffarli said that the late scientist was a prominent economist, a scientist and an educator who made a significant contribution to the development of economic science in Azerbaijan.

Later, corresponding member of ANAS Shahbaz Muradov delivered a lecture on "Outstanding economist and senior scientific organizer", PhD in Economics Associate Professor Jalil Guliyev on “The first researcher of placing productive forces in Azerbaijan and using labor resources” etc.

Reports indicated that Madat Allahverdiyev was the greatest scholar, speaker and personality who had prepared most of the candidates and doctors of science in the former Soviet Union. He has provided moral and, if appropriate, financial support to all young people, regardless of their place of birth, nationality and social status. More than 100 candidates and doctors of science had trained under the guidance of a prominent scientist.

Finally, Madat Allahverdiyev's family thanked the organizers and speakers of the event.
