The memorial event was held in the Institute of Philosophy of ANAS dedicated to the 28th anniversary of Khojali genocide.

Director of the organization Ph.D. Professor Ilham Mammadzadeh stated that Khojali genocide is the unprecedented crime of the XX century and great tragedy of Azerbaijan. He stressed out the importance of delivering this terrible crime committed crime on the night of February 25-26 in the year of 1992 should be delivered to the world community. For this purpose, books, articles should be published and speeches should be delivered relying on scientific facts on the topic of Karabakh at the international conferences.

Then, Eynulla Madatli, Deputy Director of the Institute for Science, spoke on the causes of the Khojaly tragedy and informed that the massacre was the result of aggressive Armenian nationalists' policy of ethnic cleansing and genocide against our people for centuries.

The other performers of the event said that on February 26, 1994, with the initiative of national leader Heydar Aliyev, the Azerbaijani parliament adopted February 26 as the Day of Khojaly Genocide. It was noted that our people will never forget the Khojaly tragedy that was forever be engraved on the memory of blood.
