An online meeting of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS was held.

At the meeting, the director of a scientific institution, academician Mukhtar Imanov, said that the institute's employees continued their activities, strictly observing the rules of the quarantine regime. He noted that during this time several books were prepared for publication, online meetings of the institute’s departments were held, work done was discussed and corresponding instructions were given.

Then, the activities of research departments in the first quarter of 2020 were discussed.

Head Department of Folklore and Written Literature, corresponding member of ANAS Kamran Aliyev spoke about the new published books of the Institute staff.

Head Department of Dede Qorgud, Doctor of Philological sciences Ramazan Gafarli stated that employees continue their activities in accordance with the research plan for 2020. The department also prepared the next issue of the scientific journal “Dede Qorgud” for release.

R. Gafarli noted that he will soon take part in the international conference, which will be held in Turkey online.

Then the heads of the institute's departments - professors Fizuli Bayat, Nail Rahimbeyli, Doctor of philological sciences Nizami Muradoglu, PhD in Philology, associate professors Ilkin Rustamzadeh, Afag Ramazanova, Aghaverdi Khalil talked about the state of the research work that is being conducted in the departments they lead.

Concluding the online meeting academician Mukhtar Imanov noted that he considers the reports satisfactory, and emphasized the need for the timely release of regular issues of the institute's scientific journals. He also said that this year it is going to publish a large number of research papers and monographs.
