Discussion of the book “Ertogrol Javid: fate and art” took place

Institute of Art, Language and Literature of the Nakhchivan Division of ANAS together with the Center for Nakhchivan Studies conducted an online discussion of the book “Ertogrol Javid: fate and art”.

Opening the event, the director of the institute, ANAS corresponding member Abulfaz Guliyev spoke about the 24-year short life path of Ertogrol Javid, a worthy successor to the generation of Huseyn Javid, his rich and brilliant creative activity. The scientist also spoke about the activities of Ertogrol Javid in the field of painting, folklore and musicology. He touched upon the state concern for the heritage and the Javid family in our country. He noted that the mausoleum of Huseyn Javid was erected at his grave in Nakhchivan during the years of independence. By order of President Ilham Aliyev, the 130th anniversary and 135th anniversary of Huseyn Javid was celebrated at the state level.

It was noted that by order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov of October 19, 2002, the Nakhchivan city School of Children's Music and Arts was named after Ertogrol Javid.

A. Guliyev also recalled the Order of the Chairman of the Supreme Majlis of the Nakhichevan Autonomous Republic “On Celebrating the 100th Birth Anniversary of Ertogrol Javid” dated April 18, 2019 and brought to the attention the measures taken in this direction.

Then, Professor Huseyn Hashimli, Deputy Director for science at the Institute of Art, Language and Literature, delivered a lecture entitled “Artistic work of Ertogrol Javid”, scientific secretary of the Nakhchivan Studies Center Nihad Tarverdiyev - “Musicologist, folklorist Ertogrol Javid”, senior researcher at the Department of Literary Studies PhD in Philology Nargiz Ismayilova - "Ertogrol Javid at the crossroads of West and East", head of the Department of Fine and Applied Art Fizza Guliyeva - "The activities of Ertogrol Javid in the field of fine art."
