Director of the Institute of Genetic Resources, corresponding member of ANAS Zeynal Akparov took part in the online video conference of the TURKPA Commission on Environment and Natural Resources on "Protection of water resources and lands during the COVID-19 pandemic".

The online meeting was chaired by the chairman of the TURKPA Commission on Environment and Natural Resources and the Health Committee of the Milli Majlis, academician Ahliman Amiraslanov.

The event consisted of two sessions on "Protection of water resources and lands during the COVID-19 pandemic" and "Discussion of a model draft law on efficient use of energy resources and energy efficiency”.

At the first session, experts from member countries delivered lectures, as well as discussed measures taken in member countries to protect water and land during the COVID-19 pandemic.

At the second session, experts from member countries discussed the harmonization of legislation, the rational use of energy resources and the development of a model law on energy efficiency.

The video conference was attended by parliamentarians from member countries and parliamentarians from Uzbekistan, as well as experts from relevant ministries and agencies of member countries, as well as international organizations.

Corresponding member of ANAS Z.Akparov delivered a lecture at the conference.
