Institute of Dendrology of ANAS has conducted research on the species of linear cilopsis of the genus Chilopsis of the genus Bignonia, brought from the California Botanical Garden, USA.

Director of the Institute of Dendrology, corresponding member of ANAS Tofig Mammadov said that the reproduction of this species in Absheron conditions, seedling morphology, phenological development phases, growth, flowering and fruit formation biology were studied on a scientific basis. He said the research was conducted in greenhouses and in the open, and the species could be propagated by seeds and cuttings in the Absheron region.

It was expedient to use the plant in the construction of new parks and gardens in Absheron, landscaping around the highway on the basis of decorative architecture, as well as in wet areas to prevent erosion.
