Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

With the organizational support of the Jagiellonian University (Krakow, Poland), the 6th Scientific Conference “Segments of Cultural Heritage between the Protection of Tangible and Intangible Heritage” was held.

The conference, which, due to the prevailing adverse epidemiological situation in the world took place online, was attended by representatives of the scientific community and government officials of Poland, as well as scientists from scientific and educational centers of various countries of the world, including Azerbaijan.

At the international event, the director of the Institute of History of ANAS, academician Yagub Mahmudov delivered a lecture on "Historical Monuments: The Most Valuable Pearl in the Treasury of National and Ethical Values."

Also at the conference, the lecture of the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Poland, Hasan Hasanov on "Preserved monuments of idolatry in Azerbaijan" has been listened.

The speaker spoke in detail about the surviving monuments in Azerbaijan, as well as the Maiden’s Tower, Yanardag, Gobustan, Ateshgah, Mount Beshbarmag and the tribes living in the republic.
