The next online meeting of the Institute of Information Technology of ANAS was held.

In advance, the vice-president of ANAS director of the institute academician Rasim Alguliyev said the meeting was dedicated to the work to be done on the EaPConnect 2 project, the promising of the AzScienceNet computer network and the financial issues of the network.

During the event, Rashid Alakbarov, Deputy Director for Technology, PhD in Engineering Associate Professor spoke about the current state of AzScienceNet's infrastructure issues and the GEANT network. He noted the work done to expand the infrastructure and increase the technical capabilities of AzScienceNet. The scientist also informed about the connection, adjustment and commissioning of equipment provided by GEANT in AzScienceNet, installation of LOLA audiovisual broadcasting system in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Then, Babek Nabiyev, head of the International Relations Department of the Institute, PhD in Engineering presented a report on the financial support and commitments provided to AzScienceNet within the EaPConnect project.

Finally, academician R. Alguliyev spoke about the activities carried out in the AzScienceNet network.
