The next webinar of the Academic Discussion Club dedicated to the topic "The cult of women in the archaeological and ethnographic materials of Azerbaijan” was held.

At the webinar, the chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History of ANAS, head of the Ethnography Fund, PhD in History Sevinj Nasirova delivered a lecture on “The cult of women in Azerbaijan and woman-related beliefs”, and the head of the Archeology Fund, PhD in History Aida Ismayilova - with a lecture on "Cult of a woman, or matriarchy."

Speakers analyzed artifacts discovered during archaeological excavations and ethnographic works and presented their research on female figures and their semantics.

Of great interest at the online event was the presentation of exhibits related to the cult of women and beliefs that are stored in the funds of Archeology and Ethnography.

The webinar was attended by representatives of ANAS institutes - Archeology and Ethnography, Radiation Problems and History named after A.A.Bakikhanov, as well as the National Museum of Azerbaijan History.

Note that the members of the Academic Discussion Club are active members of the councils of young scientists and specialists from various ANAS institutes. The main goal of the club is to create a platform for active scientific discussions in the field of archeology, ethnography and anthropology.
