Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Senior Researcher of the Department of Grains and Legumes of the Institute of Genetic Resources of ANAS, Ph.D. in Biology Jamala Eldarova became the winner of the Fulbright research trip program announced by the US Embassy in Azerbaijan for 2019-2020.

For 10 months J. Eldarova conducted research on the topic "Identification and sequencing of genes associated with drought tolerance in common wheat" group of wheat breeding and genetics of the Department of Soil Science and Crop Production of the State University of Colorado. Jamala Eldarova also mastered KASP markers, methods for their development and the necessary programs, which are of great importance in breeding during the COVID-19 pandemic.
