Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

The IX International Conference of the European Society for the History of Science (ESHS) on "Visual, Material and Emotional Cultures of Science" was held. The online event was attended by more than 600 scientists from various scientific and higher education institutions in Europe and Asia.

Director of the Institute of History of Science of ANAS, Doctor of Historical Sciences Maryam Seyidbeyli also delivered a lecture at the conference held under the motto "Pandemic is not an obstacle to scientific cooperation". Her lecture has been dedicated to the scientific heritage of the prominent Azerbaijani scientist of the Middle Ages Nasraddin Tusi, in particular, the treatise "Risale-i Tibb". Maryam Seyidbeyli spoke about the traces left by N.Tusi in various fields of science, including the famous Maragha observatory.

Note that the ESHS was established to expand cooperation between European countries in the field of science, technology and medicine.
