Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

Commemoration event dedicated to notable dramatist H. Javid’s 73th anniversary was held at ANAS Huseyn Javid's Memorial Flat.

Event was opened by director of the museum Dr. philology Gulbeniz Babakhanli and she spoke about his way of life and creativity.

H. Javid has died on December 5, 1941 at the age of 59 in Tayshet region of Irkutsk province, in the village of Shevchenko. Death certificate has only reached to his family in 1948, 7 years after his death. The main justification has been given by Heydar Aliyev in 1982 and his corpse has been delivered from remote Siberia to his motherland by the decree of Heydar Aliyev signed October 26, 1982. H. Javid museums were established in Baku and Nakhichevan by instruction of President Heydar Aliyev and mausoleum was erected over the grave in Nakhchevan.

Scientific secretary of the museum Firuze Mustafayeva provided detailed information to the guests about precious exhibits of Huseyn Javid.
