There is no doubt that the development of the oil refining, chemical and petrochemical industries in Azerbaijan plays an important role in the country's economy. Meanwhile, without the success of chemistry, such a development would be impossible. Indeed, the scientific schools established by prominent Azerbaijani chemists, academicians Yusuf Mammadaliyev, Murtuza Nagiyev, Vahab Aliyev, Ali Guliyev and others, their students and successors have contributed to the development of chemical science in Azerbaijan.
