New book dedicated to Turks’ war art in “Kitabi - Dede Gorgud” epos co-written by Yusif Aghayev and Sabuhi Ahmadov based on “Kitabi – Dede Gorgud” epic, prominent monument of medieval oghuz people was published in Russian language, in the “Ol” publishing house.

Scientific editor of the book is acad. Naila Valikhanli, director of ANAS National Museum of Azerbaijan History.

For the first time, epos is being investigated as an independent source to allow studying various aspects of the warfare. The authors have clarified the military-technical, military-tactical and military-legal issues in the epos.

While researching, otherwise patterns of Azerbaijan folk literature, the authors have appealed to the heroic epics of other Turkic people, conducted a comparative analysis.

Book embraces numerous illustrations demonstrating archaeological, written, descriptive and proceedings of museum.
