Armenian vandalism against historical and cultural monuments of Gubadli

Armenian vandalism against historical and cultural monuments of Gubadli

Gubadli region, which is considered the gateway to the historical Zangazur region, is located in the south-east of the Karabakh range in the basin of the Bargushad and Hakari rivers. Established in 1933, the district covers an area of 802 square kilometers and administratively consists of 94 settlements, including 1 city and 93 villages. Archival documents from the early 19th and early 20th centuries, as well as statistical reports compiled during the existence of Tsarist Russia, confirm that the local population of Gubadli was Azerbaijani Turks.

Ramin Alizadeh, a researcher at the Department of Ancient History of Azerbaijan of the Institute of History of ANAS, stated about this on October 23.
