On November 13, the Institute of Polymer Materials was held a jubilee event dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Abasgulu Guliyev, a prominent scientist, Honored Scientist, corresponding member of ANAS, who has a special place in the development of chemical science.

Members of the Scientific Council took part in the meeting, which was held in accordance with the quarantine rules applied in our country and the expectation of social distance.

The event was opened by the director of the institute, corresponding member of ANAS Bakhtiyar Mammadov, who congratulated the staff of the institution on the historic victory in Karabakh.

Then, Kazim Guliyev, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, one of the students of the scientist, who is now the Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of PMI, congratulated A. Guliyev and spoke about his scientific activity.

Then Rauf Babayev, Deputy Director for General Affairs of the Institute, Solmaz Rzayeva, Scientific Secretary, Associate Professor and others spoke at the event and spoke about the rich scientific activity of Abasgulu Guliyev.
