Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of Petrochemical Processes held regular meeting of the Department of Chemical Sciences of ANAS. The meeting was devoted to the report of scientific and organizational activities for 2014, was attended by the leadership of scientific institutions and organizations of DCS, executors of important results in the department and representatives of related organizations.

It was noted that in the reporting year academic institutions were performed six state programs: “The use of alternative and renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan”, “Poverty Reduction and Sustainable Development in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2008-2015 years”, “On providing food to the population of AR 2008-2015”, “The implementation of the employment strategy in the Republic of Azerbaijan”, “Development of demography and population of Azerbaijan”, “Azerbaijani youth in 2011-2015” and two scientific and technical programs.

In the reporting year were published 8 books, 11 monographs (3 abroad), 450 articles (203 abroad), 454 thesis (211 abroad), and 146 articles in journals with impact factor. In addition, members of the institute have been awarded 13 grants of Science Foundation of the State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic, 3 grants of Science Development Fund under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (including 2 grants for young scientists and specialists), 2 grants of Research and Technology Center in Ukraine.

In his speech, academician-secretary of the department, academician Dilgam Tagiyev praised the work of the Institute of Petrochemical Processes, Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry, Institute of Chemistry of Additives, Institute of Polymer Materials for 2014.
