Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

An online seminar on "Leaders' Meeting: Distance Education and the Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic on Science and Higher Education" was organized by Dokuz Eylul University with the participation of ANAS, Azerbaijan Medical University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, Azerbaijan University of Languages and Azerbaijan State Economic University.

Opening the event, Rector of Dokuz Eylul University, Professor Nukhet Hotar spoke about the prospects of cooperation with scientific and educational institutions of Azerbaijan, the features of the activities carried out in science and higher education during the pandemic, and wished success in the seminar.

The vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli made a report on "Science and higher education in Azerbaijan in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic" at the event.

The event was also attended by ANAS Vice-President, Academician Irada Huseynova, Head of the Office of Foreign Relations of the Presidium of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Biology Esmira Alirzayeva and Head of the Department of International Scientific Cooperation Bunyamin Seyidov.

It should be noted that on June 7, 2019, Academician Isa Habibbayli and Professor Nukhet Hotar signed an Agreement on Scientific Cooperation between ANAS and Dokuz Eylul University of Turkey.
