Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences

The National Museum of History of Azerbaijan of ANAS received the items of the National Hero of Azerbaijan, martyr of the Patriotic War, Colonel Shukur Hamidov.

The personal belongings of the martyred colonel Shukur Hamidov, who took an active part in the battles of Jabrayil, Fizuli and Gubadli in the Great Patriotic War, were entered into the museum through his relative, employee of the National History Museum of Azerbaijan Zumrud Ismayilova.

Shukur Hamidov, buried in the 2nd Alley of Honors, distinguished himself in the battles of April 2016 and was awarded the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan. He was awarded the "Zafar" Order, the "Medal for the Liberation of Fuzuli", the "Medal for the Liberation of Jabrayil" and the "Medal for the Liberation of Gubadli" for his bravery in the Great Patriotic War.
