A scientific session dedicated to the Science Day was held at the Institute of Manuscripts

A scientific session dedicated to the Science Day was held at the Institute of Manuscripts named after Mahammad Fuzuli of ANAS.

Speaking at the event, the director of the institute, academician Teymur Karimli, emphasizing the importance of celebrating the Day of Science on March 27, the day of the establishment of ANAS, noted that today is a holiday of Azerbaijani scientists, scientists and intellectuals who have contributed to science. Speaking about the glorious history of Azerbaijani science, the scientist said that science was highly valued in our ancient literature and folklore, and the exceptional role of scientific discoveries in the life of mankind and society was highly appreciated.

The head of the department of the institute, doctor of philological sciences, professor Kamandar Sharifov said in his speech that the scientific institution concentrates the devotees of science and valuable scientific potential working on medieval written monuments. He noted that great efforts were made to bring the great spiritual wealth and treasure, which reflects our history, culture, literature, and finally our national identity and existence, to our republic and collect it in a scientific institution.

In her speech, the head of the department, doctor of philological sciences, professor Azada Musaeva spoke about the difficulties in bringing to our country works reflecting all fields of science in the Oriental manuscripts obtained after the restoration of our independence.

Pasha Karimov, Deputy Director for Scientific Affairs of the Institute, Doctor of Philology, also stressed the importance of training highly qualified personnel for the study of manuscripts, which are extremely important for our country.

The scientific secretary of the institute, doctor of philosophy in philology, associate professor Azizaga Najafov stressed that the researches to be carried out at the Institute of Manuscripts this year, as every year, are devoted to topical issues...
