On February 11, 2015 at the ANAS Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics was held the next institutional seminar on topic “Integral modeling of unsteady filtration process in horizontal wells.”

During a seminar, head department of Optimization and project design methods of oil gas wells, Scientific Research Project Institute, SOCAR, PhD Elkhan Abbasov made a report.

In the report were mathematically investigated the simulated non-stationary process of liquid, considering dynamic communication of borehole and layered systems in horizontal wells and the filtered character of horizontal part of the pipe walls.

As a result of research the analytical formula defining pressure drop was received. Dynamics of change of bottom hole pressure was determined.

On the basis of the conducted researches cost parameters which can improve indicators of productivity of horizontal wells have been found.
