Goytepe archaeological findings published in an international journal of England

On January 2015, the extend paper dealing with analysis of crop remains belonging to Neolith era and found in Tovuz region Goytepe, has been published on “Journal of Archaeological Science – Elsevier” (England) international scientific journal with impact factor.

Expedition head – director of ANAS Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography PhD in history Farhad Guliyev, and American and Japanese leading specialists for paleobotany such as Yoshihiro Nishiaki, Chie Akashi, Seici Kadovaki, Liza Maher, Martha Portillo and Roza M.Albert are co-authors of current paper.

Paper conducts corn, wheat and barley remains as a result of geoarchaeological and paleobotanical analysis of soil in clay made of farm wells. Thus, embodied by Goytepe settlement, outcomes of analysis prove that, advanced agriculture was available in Azerbaijan and oldest cultivated plants have grown by the domestic population during Neolith era.

Note that, one more scientific paper by F. Guliyev embedded research results of early Neolith era villages in Tovuz region will be published on “The American Schools of Oriental Research” international journal with impact factor in Boston University of U.S.
