Chairman of ANAS Nakhchivan Department, acad. Ismayil Hajiyev submitted scientific-organizing activity report for 2014 in the assembly of the Presidium of ANAS. According to the plan approved for 2014 in the institutions of Nakhchivan Department, 32 research works over 6 directions have been implemented.

4 PhDs of department employees were successfully defended thesis, 7 of them were admitted to defense for the degree of PhD. One of them was elected active member of ANAS, 3 of corresponding member, one has gained the title of professor and 13 individuals became senior lecturers.

According to I. Hajiyev, employees have published 501 scientific works including 22 monographs, 7 books, a manual, 468 papers and conference proceedings, and 3 theses for 2014. 3 monographs, a book, 169 papers and conference proceedings were published in abroad. 10 of papers published on the journals with impact factor. During 2014, Nakhchivan Department held an international and 20 republican conference, 15 assemblies and 40 workshops.

Department employees delivered lectures in the 26 international and republican symposia, congresses and events in last year. ANAS Nakhchivan Department and Polish Academy of Sciences Krakow Division signed “convention for scientific cooperation in 2014-2016”, speaker noted.

Scientific Library of Nakhchivan branch, as in previous years, in 2014 also continued its activities in the field of library and bibliography, both in traditional form and electronically. In the reporting year the Research Library Department provides traditional and online library services for 355 readers.

In conclusion, by the decision of the Presidium of ANAS was approved by the report on the scientific and organizational activity of Nakhchivan Department of ANAS in 2014.
