Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Employee of the Frankfurt Institute of Peace Studies, Dr. Sociology Azer Babayev visited the Institute of Manuscripts, March 16.

During the meeting, Deputy Directors of the institute for scientific affairs, Doctors of Philology Aybeniz Aliyeva Kangarli and Pasha Karimov told about the role of the Institute of Manuscripts of ANAS in establishing scientific relations between Germany and Azerbaijan and the done fulfillments in this direction. The meeting also discussed future plans related to the joint venture.

The guests were familiarized with the exhibition hall and informed rare manuscripts, miniatures, ancient printed book, sources in various scientific fields stored here.

Guest was presented XIX century German researcher Adolf Berger’s “Gafgaz ve Azerbaycanda meshhur olan shueranin esharina mejmua...” work reprinted by the Institute of Manuscripts of ANAS last year. P. Kerimov noted that this publication is the first book in the native language, published in Europe.
