Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of Oriental Studies hosted the event dedicated to the 92nd anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

At the event, director of the scientific institute, corresponding member of ANAS Govhar Bakhshaliyeva told the exceptional merits of national leader Heydar Aliyev to the Azerbaijani people. It was noted that, Heydar Aliyev is a prominent public figure, whose name is linked to a 40-year period in the history of Azerbaijan.

G. Bakhshaliyeva noted that, returning to power for the second time upon the request of people in 1993, national leader Heydar Aliyev has survived the Azerbaijan from the huge disasters, restored the socio-political security and founded a high economic growth for a short time.

She recalled the words of the national leader connected with ANAS in the meeting of Azerbaijan’s intellectuals with Heyder Aliyev in 1993.

She emphasized that, currently political course of the outstanding statesman is successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev, large-scale construction works which are carried out in the country, the economy of Azerbaijan which is becoming stronger day by day are evident of state’s care for culture, science and health.

Further, Doctor of economic sciences Dunyamali Veliyev and others were reported and spoke about the historical merits of the great leader in the development of our country.
