of ANAS carried out the study of mud volcanoes by helicopter.

Aero- research work carried out on the active volcanoes located in Absheron , Shamakha and Kura - Gobustan oil and gas areas , as well as located in Baku archipelago volcanoes.

These works were organized in connection with the preparation for publication of the atlas “Mud volcanoes of the world”. During the study, the acquisition of new information about the activity of mud volcanoes was obtained.

, first aero photos of mud volcanoes in Azerbaijan were made in connection with the preparation and publication of the Atlas of Azerbaijan mud volcanoes in 1971.
