May 15, main building of ANAS hosted for event devoted to people poet Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh’s 90th anniversary by organization of the Institute of Linguistics.

Opening the event director of the institute, acad. Tofig Hajiyev reminded the Order of AR President Ilham Aliyev on the 90th anniversary of Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh and highlighted this as a price for poet’s heritage. Notable poet, social figure, academician Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh was one of the celebrate personalities in social-literary and political life of contemporary Azerbaijan. His varied efficient creativity, academic-pedagogic performance and active civil position occupies sparkle place in Azerbaijan enlightenment chronicle, he stated.

Sharing memories about poet, T.Hajiyev dealt with prominent poet’s creativity, high moral qualities and role in Azerbaijan poetry.

In the workshop prof. Sevil Mehdiyeva delivered a lecture on “Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh, poet of independence”, prof. Ismayil Mammadli  on “Language art in Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh’s creativity”, PhD in philology Zamig Tahmazov on “Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh’s poetry language”, senior lecturer Sabina Almammadova on “Language issues in Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh’s creativity and about poetry language” etc.

In the event were scheduled poet’s contributions to Azerbaijan drama and XX century Azerbaijan literature.
