Head of International relations department of ANAS, PhD in geology-mineralogy Gulam Babayev attends the Science and Technology 2015 Conference (SnT2015) at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria.
Conference goals are to enlarge the scientific community engaged in test-ban monitoring, promote the wider scientific application of data that are used for test-ban verification, enhance the exchange of knowledge and ideas between the CTBTO and the broader scientific community.
The event is attending by more than 500 scientists and specialists engaged in seismology, nuclear research, geodynamics etc.
G. Babayev submitted the outputs of research dubbed “Tension evaluation of the earthquakes that caused eruption of mud volcanoes in the Shamakhi, Gobustan, Absheron territories of Azerbaijan” in the conference-congress and in the assembly of young scientists and members of National Data Centers of the world.
Outputs of the research met with interest by scientists of Japan, Switzerland and Italy, including members of “International Lithosphere Program”.
Conference-congress will run until June 26.
