Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

In accordance with the decree of the Presidium of ANAS in connection with the 70th anniversary of the Academy, continued film casting of "Temple of Azerbaijan science”.

Scientific advisor to the film, which will reflect the historical traditions and modern development of the Academy of Sciences, is the president of ANAS, Academician Akif Alizadeh. General director of the film, which is removed by the studio "Salname" is a well-known movie Ayaz Salayev, and operator - Yuri Varnovsky.

According to the head of the creative team and scenario writer Vice-president of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli, shooting is nearing completion. Recently, the crew spent filming in Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory, Sheki Regional Scientific Center and archaeological sites in the territories of Shamakhi, Gabala-Sheki.

Creative group familiarized with the activity of the Observatory, as well as fixed night observations conducted by the telescopes. 

Members of the film crew also attended ancient settlement of the Bronze Age - an archaeological site "Tepebasi" located  in the village of Fazil, Sheki. It was reported that findings in this complex, built in the form of a complex labyrinth, samples of material culture give us a complete picture of the way of life and traditions of the people living here in III-II millennium BC.

The creative team also got acquainted with the historical monuments of Sheki and spent shooting in historical and architectural monuments of world importance of the XVIII century - the Palace of Sheki Khans, which is considered the gem of Eastern architecture.
