New material-cultural patterns discovered in Gabala

Archaeological researches are held in Gabala for the next time by the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography of ANAS. New artifacts have been found during archaeological excavations in Gabala sponsored by SEBA (Seoul-Baku) Azerbaijan-Korean Cultural Exchange Association.

Excavations are carried out  by head of the Department of Ancient era of the Institute of Archaeology and Ethnography, corresponding member of ANAS Ilyas Babayev in the territory of Chukhur Gabala Selbir and Gullutapa. According to I. Babayev, as a result of dozens of studies, grain storage and related materials to the Iron Age draw the most attention. The new exhibits will be demonstrated at Gabala Archaeological Center after restoration in the laboratories equipped with the latest technology.

Note that, 2 thousand exhibits that were found during archaeological excavations are demonstrated at the exhibition of the Archaeological Centre. Periodic reports and book of findings have been published about all of them.
