Main building of ANAS hosted for “Shahriyar's poem traditions and modernity” scientific-practical conference devoted to the great poet of XX century Muhammadhuseyn Shahriyar which co-organized by Institute of Literature and Cultural Center of Embassy of Iran Islamic Republic to Azerbaijan on September 21.
Opening the event Vice-President of ANAS, director of the Institute of Literature Academician Isa Habibbayli spoke about notable poet’s rich literary creativity, his role in the XX century Eastern poetry and contribution to the Literature.
On September 15, presentation ceremony of “The cultural order of Muhammadhuseyn Shahriyar” was held in Tabriz city and within the event notable scientists who researched poet’s creativity were submitted “The cultural order of Muhammadhuseyn Shahriyar”, noted acad. Isa Habibbayli.
Notifying on poet’s literary heritage as a research object by studiers, he stated that, besides Azerbaijani scientists conference was attended by Iranian scientists as well. He stressed out the work of the conference in terms of enhancing literary links, deeply studying, exploring and training of Shahriyar’s creativity.
Later on Ambassador of Iran Islamic Republic to Azerbaijan Mohsun Pakayin highlighted M. Shahriyar as one of the most prominent poets of Azerbaijan grown in the XX century as well as literary pride of Azerbaijan and Iran. Since his works written in Persian and in mother tongue, he has rose at the level of classics during his lifetime, enriched Middle East literature with a fresh image and expressions.
Then, Academician-secretary of ANAS Department of Humanitarian Sciences, Academician Teymur Karimli’s lecture on topic “A word about great Muhammadhuseyn Shariyar” was listened.
Acad. Vasim Mammadaliyev, Deputy Director of the Institute of Literature. Prof. Muharram Gasimli, chairman of Iran Cultural Center, Dr. Ibrahim Ibrahimli and others shared their opinions and conclusions about the poet.
Within a conference great poet’s poems were sounded by his own performance.
