ANAS Institute of Folklore has released another book on the region's folklore – “Patterns of Sheki folklore”. Project manager – director of this scientific venture, corresponding member of ANAS Muktar Imanov, material collector and book designer is PhD in philology, docent Leman Vagifgizi – Suleymanova. Book compiles folklore texts collected from Goynuk district of Sheki.

Majority of texts are composed of mythological texts. Halin kechi donergesi – Unugay, Halin khoruz donergesi, Vehshi adam (A wild man), Suleysin, Khortdan personages are completely new for Azerbaijan folklore. As Halin gadin donergesi, Azrayil, Jin, Khidir Nabi, Khidir Ilyas, Nakhish mythological personages are not new for Azerbaijan folklore, while no bulk of texts associated with these folklore characters have been published anywhere.

Texts of hunting embraces interesting data on the hunters, hunting pursuers, hunting limit, Suley and Isgender birds. The book also contains a number of narratives related to sacred places. Some parts of materials of the book are ethnographic texts as well. Texts associated with the different prayers, wedding and funeral customs, rules of Mevlut ceremony are include here.
