Laboratory staff of genesis, geography and cartography of the Institute of Soil and Agrochemistry of ANAS was a scientific mission in Balakan district.

Within 15 days of expedition visual sightings have been carried out in different territories of Balakan, were laid about 20 primary and secondary soil profiles, and were also taken soil samples for analysis in the laboratory. Currently, are defined the results of the processes occurring in the soils of the North Caucasus, the processes occurring in the soil under the influence of anthropogenic factors, as well as refined contours of soil varieties. Work continues towards the preparation of integrated agro-reclamation measures to prevent these processes.
