On October 16, at the Institute of Catalysis and Inorganic Chemistry on behalf acad. M.Nagiev, was held a commemorative meeting of the Scientific Council, dedicated to the 75th anniversary of outstanding scientist in the field of chemical engineering, Academician Agadadash Aliyev.

Opening the event Academician-Secretary of the Department of Chemical Sciences, Director of the institute, Academician Dilgam Tagiyev spoke about the past way of life and rich scientific activity of A.Aliyev. He noted that a well-known in the field of mathematical modeling and optimization of non-stationary catalytic processes scientist Agadadash Aliyev was born in 1940 in Baku. The scientist, who graduated from the Faculty of Mechanics of the Azerbaijan Industrial Institute in 1958, defended his Ph.D. in chemistry in 1969. In 1985 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Technical Sciences, received the title of Professor. In 1989 he was elected a corresponding member of ANAS, and in 2001 – active member. The basis of his scientific works were the study of the kinetics and mechanism of chemical reactions, development and preparation for the multi-step reactions of scientific bases of synthesis of multifunctional metalzeolite catalysts with high efficiency. Under the leadership of A. Aliyev also developed and prepared mathematical models and industrial catalytic processes, on which were calculated optimum operating conditions applied in a number of petrochemical plants and design institutes. He is the author of over 550 scientific publications, 50 patents.

The participants congratulated the scientist who has devoted 45 years of his life to science, wished him further success in scientific activity.

In conclusion, Academician expressed his gratitude to the staff of the institute addressed his congratulations and best wishes.
