Experimental-Industrial Plant in the new targets of ANAS

Taking into account state policy directed to raising demand for science and the establishing knowledge economy, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences is going to streghen its efforts due to contributing. Complex measures and events are being implemented in ANAS due to establishing knowledge economy which has set up as a key target on “Azerbaijan 2020: Vision to the Future”, strategical vision for the development of republic. Besides attending in the execution of various state programs, mechanisms of application of the research results to the industry are set up in an Academy, ties are enhanced via industry, and grasping international experience in this sphere is contunied. Experimental-Industrial Plant (EIP) attracts attention as another factor.

Being scientific-technical base of ANAS, EIP has been center for testing and application of advanced scientific developments by the scientists of several institutes. Thus, almost all the new technological processes related in oil refining which implemented in the country's largest oil refineries have been tested in the pilot and experimental-industrial devices of EIP.

In the early years of independence in Azerbaijan, as a result of losing economic relations over the years via many enterprises EIP had heavy financial difficulties and gradually its scientific, technical and production potential started to weaken then, this process was contuning up to recent years. By the decision of the Presidium of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, EIP’s subordination to the Presidium made turnover on its development. Thanks to the support and attention of the government in 2014-2015, plant embarked on the path of economic development, along with new research and experimental work at the plant, competitive, different setting oils and lubricants which demanded in the economy and not produced by other enterprises were started to produce. Large-scale reconstruction and restoration work is done at the plant as well. Currently, technological and organizational measures are being taken seriously in the direction of quality of these products to meet the requirements of the relevant regulatory and technical documents and prices applied them primarily to be in the best interests of the buyers.

In order to achieve future goals, work over production of new, innovative and competitive products and application of them to the industry would be rapidly enhanced at the ANAS EIP.
