MoU between ANAS and Turkey Academy of Sciences

After greeting the Turkish counterpart, Academician Akif Alizadeh thanked Ahmad Javad Ajar for his participation at the 70th anniversary of ANAS. In turn, the President of the Turkey Academy of Sciences congratulated Academician Akif Alizadeh with the anniversary of ANAS and wished him success in his future activities.

The meeting was organized due to strengthen the scientific cooperation between ANAS and the Turkey Academy of Sciences in future and the implementation of mutual scientific exchange and joint projects in various fields.

Ahmad Javad Ajar thanked the President of ANAS for the cordial reception and talked about some areas of the organization headed by him.

At the meeting, was signed a memorandum of understanding between the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Turkey Academy of Sciences. Document provides the holding of joint symposiums, conferences and other events, as well as the exchange of staff and items of establishing strong bilateral ties and fruitful scientific and technological cooperation.

The sides expressed confidence that an exchange by staffs, which will be implemented through the contract, will have a positive impact on the scientific development of the two countries.

In the memorandum reflected points connected with the selection of scientists for the staff exchange, distinguished for its scientific researchers and the contribution that this exchange will lead to the development scientific centers functioning in Turkey and Azerbaijan.

According to the agreement, the parties will inform each other about the innovations in the field of science and technology, ongoing activities and various scientific publications.

The meeting also attended by the Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbeyli. In conclusion of a meeting were discussed issues of further cooperation.
