Institute of Philosophy and Law of ANAS held international conference “Status and training problems of philosophy in a modern era” in connection with World Philosophy Day, November 19.

In the event with participation of representatives from Azerbaijan, France and other countries director of the Institute, Prof Ilham Mammadzadeh spoke about role of science in a modern era, stressed out President Ilham Aliyev’s care to the development of this sphere.

I. Mammadzadeh, meanwhile, drew to the attention the importance of the World Philosophy Day organized by UNESCO, shared opinions.

CEO of the Science Foundation under President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ogtay Samadov, acting Academician-secretary of the Department of Social Sciences, and corresponding member of ANAS Nargis Akhundova told about state care to the domestic science and Azerbaijan-France scientific ties.

Ambassador of Morocco to Azerbaijan Hasan Hami, department chief of the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis Christian Vallar noted the significance of the conference.

Then, lecture on theme “Freedom, wisdom and manipulation in a philosophical creativity” and others were listened and discussions were held.

In a event, Ch. Vallar was presented honorary diploma of the Institute of Philosophy and Law.
