Azerbaijan National Academy of Science

Institute of Oriental Studies named after Ziya Bunyadov of ANAS published the books dedicated to the national democratic movement of South Azerbaijanis and Iranian people in 1941-1946.

The author of one of these books namely "The path leading to the movement of 21 Azer. The national-democratic movement in South Azerbaijan (1941-1946)" book is a leading researcher of the department of South Azerbaijan, PhD in Economics Akram Rahimli.

Book presented to the readers narrates about the national democratic movement in South Azerbaijan in 1941-1946.

This IV newly revised edition of the book, which was previously published in Baku Tehran, Vancouver (Canada).

The book studies and analyzes the path of struggle, leading to the movement of 21 Azer (December 12).

Reader is given the opportunity to get acquainted with the content and nature of the social, political, economic and cultural situation and the events of 40-ies of the last century in South Azerbaijan, as well as with the activities of the Azerbaijan National Movement Government after the victory of 21 Azer.

In the book are presented collapse reasons of the Azerbaijan National Government, the new growth of fundamentalism in Azerbaijan, the bloody events of the Shah's regime presented to the reader based on facts and documents obtained from primary sources.

The next book is a photo album "21 Azeri-70", drawn up by Head of the Department of the Institute of Oriental Studies of South Azerbaijan, PhD in History Samad Bayramzadeh.

Present part of the album reflects the history of the struggle of our people.

National Democratic Movement, which took place in South Azerbaijan in 1941-1946, the Azerbaijan national government and its activities, the place and role of this movement in the history of our state, its influence and the traces left by will get a decent estimate in the mind of every countryman, flip through the album.

Reflecting the activities of the Azerbaijan National Government, established under the leadership of the Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, as well as events related to its defeat, this album embraces a variety of documents and photographs of the period, the memories of participants and witnesses of the movement, including archival documents.

The third book is a bulk of conference proceedings, held a few days ago by the Institute of Oriental Study dedicated to the movement of 21 Azer. The bulk includes materials on the history of movement 21 Azer, its reflection in literature and in the press, etc.
