Main building of ANAS hosted the 1st scientific conference “Folklore and statehood” organized by Institute of Folklore on December 7.

Opening the conference Vice-President of ANAS, Acad. Isa Habibbayli noted that, event aims to discuss the investigation of Turkish state symbols, etiquettes and folk festivals as a model of ethnicity and cognition. He stated that, national leader Heydar Aliyev always focused on science, protection and maintenance of spiritual values, and his ideas are being successfully implemented by President Ilham Aliyev.

Head of Ataturk Center in Azerbaijan corresponding member of ANAS Nizami Jafarov, director of the Institute of Folklore corresponding member of ANAS Mukhtar Imanov reported in the event and stressed out the exceptional merits of great leader Heydar Aliyev in formation of national ideology.

Lectures on “Turkic statehood tradition and management rituals”, “Ancestor cult of Turks and of holiday of ancestor”, “Flags in Turkish statehood tradition and ceremony of flag victim” victim," "Folklore and statehood in national cultural system of Azerbaijan”, “Ceremony folklore of Turkic people and statehood” were delivered in the event.
